Produce Specialist
Shawn McClure began his culinary career in 2001 after graduating from the Baltimore International College with a degree in Professional Cooking & Baking, having received the prestigious James Beard Scholarship.
He continued his career as Executive Sous Chef at Bond Street Social, and later became Executive Chef at Ryleighs Oyster Bar.
“Using my culinary background and the relationships I built with farmers, purveyors, and other local Chef customers, I gained knowledge of seasonal fruits and vegetables, sustainability, quality control, and the purchase and use of many exotic and regional varieties of produce.”
His hands-on experience purchasing local produce for upscale restaurants led him to better use his expertise at Lanasa Produce, a local family owned produce supplier where he became an expert produce purchaser, sourcing from nationwide wholesalers & local farms.
He happily resides in Jarrettsville, MD with his Wife Amanda, and three kids Piper, Quinn, & Crosby.
